El Centro Universitario del Sur, con sede en Ciudad Guzmán, a través de su Centro de Investigaciones en Comportamiento Alimentario y Nutrición (CICAN) oferta por primera ocasión este año una maestría enfocada en el estudio de los comportamientos en la alimentación y nutrición.
El coordinador del nuevo posgrado, el Dr. Felipe de Jesús Díaz Reséndiz, sobre la importancia de esta maestría apuntó que “no solamente tendrá influencia en la zona sur del estado y en la región occidente, sino que debido nuestros convenios de colaboración con colegas nacionales e internacionales, permitirá la incorporación de estudiantes de la región, pero también de otras partes del mundo.”
Por su parte el director del CICAN, Dr. Antonio López Espinoza, señaló que “Cuando se habla de alimentación no se habla de una sola cosa, sino que primero se genera la idea, el deseo o la necesidad de ingerir alimentos, posteriormente se toman decisiones basadas en qué deseo y con qué se cuenta en existencia o el dinero que se tiene. Todo esto también relacionado con tradiciones y elementos psicológicos, por lo cual permite la entrada de diversas áreas del conocimiento, nutrición, psicología, filantropía, fisiología, patología, genética”.
El posgrado está enfocado a los egresados de distintas disciplinas tales como Veterinaria, Psicología, Medicina, Nutrición o Ciencias Sociales. El enfoque multidisciplinario bajo el cual se lanza este innovador posgrado permite que los egresados confronten la realidad con mayores herramientas de interpretación y análisis.
“El enfoque está centrado en el comportamiento alimentario y sin considerar el contexto en el que se estudie, la generación de conocimiento es la misma que en otras partes del mundo, ejemplo de esto es que asistimos anualmente a presentar los resultados de nuestras investigaciones en el congreso de la Society for the Study of Ingestive Behavior (SSIB) debido a que en este evento el enfoque multidisciplinario sobre la conducta alimentaria”, detalló Díaz Reséndiz.
Sobre el futuro de esta maestría que iniciará el próximo 23 de agosto, el investigador del CICAN, Dr. Felipe de Jesús Díaz Reséndiz destacó que “un proyecto de esta magnitud no sería posible sin la colaboración de los diferentes niveles administrativos y académicos de nuestra casa de estudios. Los miembros del CICAN agradecemos la oportunidad para concretar este proyecto que en el mediano plazo espera llegar a consolidarse en la creación de un doctorado de nivel internacional. Estamos convencidos que en la UdeG contamos con los elementos necesarios para alcanzar esta meta”.
