Todos sabemos que como parte de la mercadotecnia existen cientos de productos para modificar nuestra figura a dejarla más estética.
Dentro de todos esos productos podríamos mencionar a una prenda que pertenece a uno de los mitos más importantes dentro del consultorio de nutrición que es "la faja".
La faja es una prenda de ropa cuya anchura es menor a la del cuerpo normal. La creencia principal con respecto a éste producto es que ayuda a bajar de peso e impiden que el depósito de la grasas en zonas específicas debido a la presión que ejercen.
Debemos tener en cuenta que las calorías que no han sido quemadas siempre buscan sedimentarse en alguna parte del cuerpo que no se encuentra sujetado por la presión de la faja.
Como todos sabemos que éste tipo de productos son producto de la mercadotecnia que pretenden vender cosas que no pueden lograr.
Ésta prenda es uno de los tantos mitos dentro de nuestro consultorio de nutrición, debido a que las fajas no pueden realizar el efecto de quemar las calorías; lo que sí pueden producir estos productos es moldear el cuerpo.En realidad el proceso que realiza es que la grasa acumulada solamente se desplaza de su lugar de origen momentáneamente durante el uso de la faja, pero después de dejar de usar el producto la grasa regresara a su lugar original

Para que en verdad nos ayuden a eliminar de forma apreciable la grasa acumulada en nuestro cuerpo es necesario usarla de forma continua, ya que esto impedirá el depósito de grasa en las zonas bajo el control de la faja debido a la presión que se ejerce, aunado a que la presión que pueden ejercer en la zona abdominal, en ocasiones, evitará que el usuario coma en demasía. Además, resulta esencial el cumplimiento de un programa de acondicionamiento físico y un régimen alimenticio saludable” (pág 43).
Afirmó además de que se entrevistaron a varios especialistas y éstos no recomiendan el uso de esta prenda estética, pues coinciden en que la mejor manera de obtener una excelente figura física es a base de una dieta sana otorgada por un nutriologo y ejercicio regular.

Como nutriólogos sabemos que esto obviamente no es real, porque lo que tratan de lograr con esto es alcalinizar para poder destruir los adipocitos; lo cual sabemos que es imposible y que para alcalinizar nuestro cuerpo él lo realiza por sí solo.
El agua con limón no es una bebida mágica que pueda ayudar a quemar grasa para que nuestros pacientes puedan adelgazar por sí solos.
Teniendo en cuenta que el limón es una fruta catabólica no tiene la potencia de poder realizar dicho proceso de adelgazamiento, solo actúa como saciador por un periódo de tiempo más largo como si el paciente estuviera consumiendo agua simple.
Esta bebida se ha convertido en un “trending topic” dentro de todos los temas para poder bajar de peso, incluso como una técnica a implementar para lograr este objetivo.
El agua alcalina se trata como el último elixir maravilloso para contribuir a bajar de peso.Debemos entender por alcalino que el PH se encuentre de 7 a 14.
Lo que realmente sucede es que se tiene la idea errónea de que lo alcalino puede destruir estas células y se cree que al cambiar al ambiente de ácido a alcalino se desintegran.
Desafortunadamente no es de esta manera y no es tan sencillo lograrlo.
El cuerpo mantiene un promedio de PH de 7.4 a 7.6 y cualquier cambio que se pudiera generar de manera drástica podría enfermarse de gravedad incluso causar la muerte.
Dentro del consultorio de nutrición sabemos que no existe comida o bebida que afecte el PH de manera significativa como para eliminar o deshacer los adipocitos.
Y como nutriólogos sabemos que el estómago secreta otros jugos para volver todo alcalino, de manera que todos los alimentos ingeridos terminan con el mismo PH.
Debido a que el cuerpo se alcaliniza por si sólo, lo único que va a lograr al ingerir el agua tibia con gotas de limón se va a ver reflejado en el PH de su orina.
Otro efecto secundario que podría ocurrir al que tu paciente ingiera agua alcalina es una severa indigestión, porque como sabemos el ambiente del estómago debe ser ácido para poder digerir los alimentos y al hacerlo alcalino afecta la absorción de los nutrientes.

¿Y qué es lo que pasa con nuestros pacientes? ¿Realmente es un producto que ayuda a adelgazar a nuestros pacientes?
Lo que sucede es que solamente les dicen cuándo tomar y cómo… pero no les especifican realmente cuanta se tiene que consumir para poder llegar a ese resultado.
Como ya sabemos éste procedimiento no está consensuado y por lo tanto no puede ser considerado al 100% para recomendar a nuestros pacientes para conseguir ese efecto.
Como nutriólogos lo que debemos tener presente sobre la chía es lo siguiente:
Y después de todo ésto ¿en realidad seguimos creyendo que la chía es para adelgazar? En realidad el mayor aporte de consumir chía es para nuestra piel que es el órgano más grande de nuestro cuerpo.
